TRUST:



Armpit trusts Ginny because he tells her every secret about his day. And Ginny let Armpit borrow her special stuffed animal to his speech of the world. Also Kaira said that she didn't need Fred/doofus when Armpit was around.



LOVE:



Kaira wrote that embarrassing letter to Armpit that said she liked him. Armpit also agreed and said that he had been hopeing he would get in contact with her again.



FRIENDSHIP:



There is friend ship between Ginny and Armpit because they always take these daily walks where they talk about there problems and how they feel with eachother. Armpit also took Ginny to Kairas concert at the arena.



ANGER:



Kaira probably felt angry when Armpit told her if she could send him or hand deliver to him another letter she asked why and Armpit said that this guy told him he would give him 100 dollars. Kaira felt used and through the coffee at him.



CHANGE:



There was a sudden change when X-ray came and told Armpit that he had a plan. X-rays plan made a change to Armpits life, if they wouldn't have got the tickets and X-ray never came Armpit would have never met Kaira.



CRAZY:



It was crazy when El Genuis walked slowly into Kairas room with a bat and attacked her then doofus came in and El Genuis hit him too. Luckily Armpit came in and tried to stop El Genuis. Then Rosemary saw and called the police and the ambulance.

Armpit came from Camp Green Lake and has found a job where you dig holes just like in the camp it's just this time he's getting paid. Then one day a friend from the camp (X-ray) tells Armpit that he has a get rich plan. X-rays get rich plan leads Armpit into meeting pop star sensation Kaira Deleon. Armpit falls in love with Kaira and feels as if they are somehow connected. Armpit/ Theodore has to go through a few things to win Kairas heart. Though he is also trying to take small steps and not make them to big of a step. Then he also goes to school and faces a few difficulties there. Luckily he has Ginny a ten year old neighbor of his. Actually Ginny and Armpit are friends, Armpit is lucky to have such a thoughtful caring friend who has cerebral palsy.

I loved this book because it teaches you that it isn't good to lie to your friends. In The Book X-ray lies (isn't honest) to Theodore. That's why I think that ages ten and up will know whats going on between X-ray and Theodore. And you have to be mature otherwise you would think most of the book is grose. For example if your not mature you would get grosed out when Kaira and Armpit kissed for 7 seconds.

I would recomend this book Small Steps to both genders but they would have to be 10 years old and up. It can teach you lessons on how never to scalp tickets or never to scalp anything.You can learn to love and give other books a chance and not judge them by the title, artist or anything. This book will inspire you to read more.

Do I want to be a rockstar?

No I do not want to be a rock star because I have heard that most rock stars go into drugs and smoke mariguana. And I also think that rock stars are grose though they can sing pretty cool songs. And I also think that guitars are cool but I just know that singing in front of anyone is not my thing. I don't even like being in front of my friends and tell them anything, well at least sometimes.

Kaira's lyrics

It's a lost and lonely kind of feeling,
To wake up wearing a disguise.
I lie in bed staring at the ceiling,
I don't know who I am,
There's little that I can
Fully recognize. . . .

I think that her song means how she feels every day. And when she says she is wearing a disguise that means that deep inside she is not just a popstar, she has feelings to. I think that this piece of one of her lyrics she is writing about herself.

Armpits experience at the police station

Armpit/Theodore was nervous at the police station because detective Debbie had found out who had bought tickets from two scalpers Moses and Felix she knew it was X-ray she just wanted to know who his partner was. Detective Debbie heard a clue when X-ray said no harm no foul, just like the way Armpit/Theodore said it when he had to talk to Debbie. I could also tell that X-ray got afraid and nervous with Debbie when she found out X-ray was lying to her.

Kaira's letter

I think that Kaira's letter was grose because she said that she liked it when she touched Theodores armpit, she said she liked feeling goosy inside. Another thing that grosed me out is when she admitted that she liked Theodore. I thought that Kaira would hate Theodore for being a crook, but no she ends up liking this guy named Theodore who is nick named Armpit. Yuck! Talk about disgusting. Anyway hopefully she will change her mind and tell him the actual truth in another little letter. If not then Kairas out of her mind.(really crazy)

The date

They (Armpit and Kaira) went to a cofee shop and then Kaira asked Theodore/Armpit if he wanted to play ditch the doofus. (Ditch Fred her body guard) Theodore replied and said sure, Kaira ran outside and Theodore followed.Kaira talked to him. (It had something to do with kissing) Theodore thought about kissing her but he thought he had lost his chance. In a while he decided that this was an opportunity he said that you never get a chance to kiss a rock star like Kaira Deleon. He had now decided he would kiss Kaira he had just gotten ready and was puckered up when suddenly Fred/Doofus arives and get's Kaira and takes her home. At that moment Theodore knew he had lost his opportunity.
